NamaskAram!
Seattle Aradhana will host the Northwest Sri. Thyagaraja Music Festival on April 23, 2011 following the tradition of previous years. The festival is in celebration of the glorious heritage of Carnatic music and pays homage to the great musician, saint and composer Sri Thyagaraja and other great composers of this magnificent art form
The ArAdhanA brings together the art lovers of the community and serves as a platform for showcasing budding and professional talent from our community. The festival features several group and solo performances of compositions of the great masters of the Carnatic tradition performed in an ambience soaked with traditional, colorful South Indian cultural pageantry. Of course it goes without saying that there will be an awesome spread of traditional vegetarian South Indian food fare all through the day to keep the rasikAs showered with the bonhomie encountered in a traditional Indian wedding: ! The grand finale for the festival will be a vocal duet concert by the popular artistes, Priya Sisters
If you would like to perform at the ArAdhana, please complete the performance registration information
This festival is entirely a volunteer driven event and as in the previous years, we look forward to your enthusiastic support to keep this tradition thriving. We request you to rsvp as early as possible to help us better plan the logistics. We thank you in advance for your support and look forward to seeing you at the event.
